Wheel Throwing is the method of shaping clay into vessels using the potter's wheel.
At Geologismi, we offer only individual wheel throwing classes, during which the participant can benefit from the instructor's full attention.
Wheel Throwing classes meet for 2 hours once a week, for 5 weeks.

Beginners learn the fundamental skills necessary to throw cylinders, cups, bowls and more. Wedging, centering, pulling, lifting and trimming are demonstrated and practiced.
Intermediate students build on basic skills and knowledge of throwing and further technical understanding of clay. By refining their throwing skills, they will pursue more complex functional forms and projects.
Materials and firing of three objects are included in the class tuition.
