Collection: Contatto Collection

The contact collection is meant to offer a haptic experience of material discovery. Objects invite you to hold them in your hands, to caress and explore their surface, to find out their stories and marks. 

Materials and finishing

For this collection we used five different stoneware mixes sourced in Germany, a country rich of this type of clay. Once fired, stoneware turns into a strong ad dense ceramic material.

Each piece is handmade at the wheel, then trimmed, let air-dry, fired at 980°C, sanded, glazed and fired again at 1220°C.

The external surface is left unglazed, showing the natural color of the selected stoneware, but variations in shade, color and finishing may occur, depending in the particular story of each piece.
